Job summary

S&P Global is seeking a Customer Success professional to support Market Intelligence accounts in the United States with daily service and relationship management. You will work with account teams to address client needs, drive opportunities, and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.

Collaborating with Sales, Product, Marketing and Finance, you will maintain CRM data, prepare pipeline reports, and assist with trial reviews and contracting for new business opportunities.

About the Role

The Professional Service Strategic team is a high-performing group that has strong relationships with the biggest Accountants, Advisory Firms, and Consultants around the world. The team works collaboratively with various internal stakeholders to ensure our customers experience a seamless approach for all things SPGI each day.

Responsibilities
  • Work through assigned Market Intelligence accounts to provide daily support and ensure customers receive top‑notch service.
  • Proactively anticipate needs of each user or group within our Strategic Accounts book by staying in touch with market news and trends.
  • Develop relationships with users and leaders within each licensed department or group, positioning yourself as a partner and resource for them to bring problems to.
  • Develop an outreach strategy to drive appointments with Sales‑ or Growth‑focused colleagues.
  • Follow up on leads and conduct research to identify potential prospects.
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy within internal reporting systems.
  • Support trial reviews and contracting processes for new business opportunities alongside your Sales‑focused counterpart.
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow‑up communications to move opportunities through the sales and renewal funnels.
  • Grow product and sales knowledge by attending demos and seeking regular feedback from team members.
  • Ensure timely management of data for new and prospective clients within CRM, recording all communications and attaching documents accurately.
  • Monitor and manage day‑to‑day priorities to deliver results.
  • Work cohesively with internal stakeholders in Product, Marketing and Finance divisions, sharing intel and customer feedback in a timely manner.
Compensation and Benefits (US Only)

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $56,392 to $98,949. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits.

The candidate can anticipate and identify client needs, assessing a company’s needs to tailor outreach to each prospect. They understand that the team’s goal is to support and grow clients together.

Basic Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1‑3 years of data or SaaS‑focused customer service experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving quota, daily/weekly/monthly activity goals, research and pipeline development goals.
  • Proven track record of strong client relationships.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Goal‑ and action‑oriented, able to work toward revenue targets in a business development environment.
  • Experience dealing with challenging situations, such as objection handling and overcoming gatekeepers, and overcoming rejection with charisma and courage.
  • Solid organization, multi‑tasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage senior‑level audiences.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of CRM databases such as Salesforce.com is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the financial industry and/or financial divisions/departments is a plus.
  • Collaborative and supportive; loves working with, listening to and understanding others.
