Job summary

BMO is seeking a dedicated Commercial Sales & Service professional in Chicago to cultivate and manage a portfolio of small business clients. You will apply consultative sales and business development practices to expand market share, build pipelines, and deliver tailored financial solutions.

You will leverage your credit, product, and relationship management expertise to drive growth, maintain client retention, and provide excellent, compliant service in a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Strong financial analysis skills and ability to interpret financial statements to drive growth and mitigate risk.
• Knowledge of business banking products, lending processes, and related policies and technologies.
• Proven track record in customer sales and service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong collaboration and teamwork.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Proactively develops and executes sales strategies to attract new business clients and expand existing relationships.
• Develops networks and referral sources to ensure growth of BMO’s business.
• Generates appointments and opportunities to grow business through targeted sales efforts.
• Develops and executes a business plan to achieve customer retention objectives.
• Identifies prospective customers and cross-sells products and services to meet needs.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and builds trust with clients.
