Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as gatekeeper of the Institute system expenditures and ensure planned, purposeful use of funds.
• Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases for budget development, forecasting, and reporting.
• Manage general, restricted, auxiliary, and endowment budgets and consult with senior management to avoid impacting academic and administrative operations.
• Handle internal controls, policy, and procedures, and provide budget management training.
• Conduct reviews to mitigate financial risk and inform senior leadership of emerging issues.
• Recommend changes to the approval process and access controls to ensure compliance with security standards.
• Approve financial transactions and documents in line with policy and regulations on restricted funds.
• Support budget committees, track budget development scorecards, and coordinate the budget document and materials.
• Oversee financial controls to ensure compliance with accounting concepts and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
