Job summary

Orange County Government is seeking a Budget and Management Analyst II to perform advanced analysis of the County’s Operating Budget. The role involves reviewing and monitoring departmental budgets, Special Revenue Funds, and Enterprise Fund budgets to ensure compliance and to support financial planning.

The position may coordinate the Capital Investment Plan, Long-Term Financial Model, and Debt Model, as well as performance measures and data transparency efforts, under supervision of the Budget

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred in accounting, public administration, or related field.
• Two years of related budgeting/financial management experience acceptable with bachelor’s degree.
• A combination of training and experience may substitute for the degree requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced analysis in the review, preparation, and administration of the County’s Operating Budget.
• Review, analyze, evaluate, and monitor departmental budgets, special revenue, and enterprise budgets for compliance.
• Coordinate budget office functions including Capital Investment Plan, Long-Term Financial Model, Debt Model, and performance measures.
