Job summary

The US Army Corps of Engineers seeks a capable Budget Analyst to direct the budget formulation, justification, and execution for operating programs including HQ and Mission Support Battalion budgets.

You will analyze resource needs, allocate manpower and dollars, and present financial guidance to leadership while coordinating with field activities and downstream offices to ensure compliant, efficient financial management.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in budgeting for formulation and justification of resources.
• Experience presenting budget requests and securing budgetary resources.
• Supervisory experience over staff in budget administration and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees budget formulation, justification, and execution for operating programs.
• Participates in long- and short-range program planning and goal setting.
• Allocates manpower and dollars and negotiates interagency agreements.
• Advises on financial management across major programs and policies.
• Supervises staff in budgeting, analysis, and cost-type budgets.
• Guides funding controls and execution of approved programs.
• Plans work, sets priorities, and schedules for subordinates.
• Evaluates subordinate performance and provides guidance.
