Job summary

AnaVation is seeking a Budget Analyst to support a U.S. Army program. The ideal candidate has budget knowledge, strong communication skills, prior experience in a similar role, and is enthusiastic about joining a mission-critical team.

You will analyze financial data, build models in Excel, and use tools like Power BI or Pyramid Analytics to inform leadership on priorities and resource allocation while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance required.
• Knowledge of RDTE, OMA & OPA appropriations.
• Experience with government accounting systems (GFEBS, FIRE, LMP, WAWF, SDW, DTS).
• 5 years budgeting, planning, and program management experience.
• 5 years experience in requirements definition, work planning, budget control, and communications with COTR/COR.
• Experience with DoW DATAAPS and Labor accountability.
• Strong Excel data modeling and financial analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project financial processes and data-driven metrics.
• Participate in meetings and communicate financial impacts.
• Support financial aspects of projects.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver products and services.
• Provide data-driven insights to leadership on priorities and resource allocation.
• Perform budget analysis of high-visibility programs including congressional items.
• Provide financial guidance per regulations and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
