Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or public administration.
• 2–5 years of related municipal finance experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and open to learning new tech.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and execution of purchase orders within adopted budgets and funding levels.
• Participates in development and monitoring of the operating budget and five-year plans; analyze budget impacts.
• Enhance the annual budget preparation process using technology and automation.
• Assist in developing strategic positions and communications regarding Town budgets and finances.
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports and analyses for the General Fund and other funds.
• Strive to improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and provide quality customer service.
• Research financial questions and provide information to citizens, senior management, and staff.
• Review and approve payrolls, accounts payable batches, and journal entries for accuracy.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, and public administration

2-5 years of related work experience (municipal finance)
