Schrödinger is seeking a Director of Business Development to drive value creation through strategic licensing deals and research collaborations in biopharma and materials science. You will lead opportunities from ideation through term sheet negotiation and execution, coordinating cross-functional teams across R&D, Legal and Finance.

The role requires a proven dealmaker with 4+ years in BD or corporate strategy in biopharma, and a Bachelor’s degree in life science (MBA/JD/PhD preferred).

Qualifications

• A track record of licensing deals or research collaborations.
• Bachelor’s degree in life science; MBA, JD, or PhD preferred.
• At least four years of experience in business development, corporate strategy, or investment banking within biopharma.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate licensing partners, platform collaborations, and strategic partnerships.
• Lead or support cross-functional evaluations with R&D, Legal, and Finance.
• Negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements (CDAs, MTAs, Licensing, Research Collaboration).
• Serve as a primary contact at industry conferences and networking events (e.g., JPM, BIO).
