Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of supervising utility billing staff.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Service and JD Edwards.
• Diversified experience with customer/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of customer billing to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Direct and train billing staff; conduct performance reviews and coordinate staff meetings.
• Resolve escalated customer complaints and payment issues; manage billing account reviews.
• Assist with implementation of new rates, including testing and issue resolution.
• Assist departments in investigating billing questions and ensuring accurate mailings and remittance posting.
• Respond to problems and identify resolutions in billing, mailings, cash processing, and deposits.
• Prepare monthly and annual statistical reports or analyses for management.
• Support audits and provide related deliverables.
• Oversee billing budget and forecast staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, services, and supplies for Customer Billing; participate in vendor selection.
• Review regulations impacting billing and provide implementation recommendations.
