Ulm Automotive, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to secure parts for Mercedes-Benz Sprinter upfits, manage supplier relationships, and lead a small procurement team on-site in Bogart, GA. The role emphasizes cost control, material planning, and timely delivery to support production ramp.

You will negotiate with suppliers, issue purchase orders, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Accounting, and Production to sustain inventory and cost targets.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing.
• Material planning in discrete manufacturing.
• Hands-on MRP/ERP and accounting system experience.
• Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
• Record of negotiated savings and supplier improvements.
• Precise with units of measure, pack sizes, and prices.
• Clear, firm communication with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Select and qualify suppliers based on capability, quality, delivery, price, and certifications.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment and freight terms, and write supplier agreements.
• Qualify second sources to avoid single-supplier risk.
• Define outsourced work and ensure acceptance criteria and engineering change control.
• Lead cost-control initiatives and track material cost per vehicle.
• Issue POs for every purchase with accurate part details and dates.
• Manage receiving, inventory control, and write-offs for nonconforming goods.
• Maintain data accuracy in Katana and QuickBooks, including prices and lead times.
