Job summary

PCORI, a leading nonprofit health research funder, seeks an Associate Director, Process & Policy to lead strategic program operations and policy development. You will mentor staff, coordinate across ALM and PCRP, and support funding opportunity development and post-award processes.

The role emphasizes internal collaboration with divisions like CM, MR, PR, and Communications, while occasionally liaising with external partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in research funding programmatic and/or operational leadership, management, and/or execution.
• Master’s or equivalent degree in a relevant field, preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing staff and leading teams in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborations across programmatic divisions to implement PCORI’s programmatic goals.
• Lead coordination and development of new funding opportunities and outreach strategies.
• Refine and implement funding policies and processes across ALM and PCRP.
• Collaborate with Communications to advance award outreach and communications.
• Oversee ALM team development, performance, and staff engagement.
• Ensure consistency and efficiency in funding opportunity development and grant cycles.
• Represent PCORI in external sector events when required.
