Job summary

PCORI in Washington, DC is seeking a Program Officer to lead strategic decision-making and high-level program planning for a patient-centered research portfolio. You will oversee funded awards, develop funding announcements, and support the Methodology Standards while coordinating with cross-functional PCORI teams.

The role requires a doctoral degree with 3+ years (or a master’s with 7+ years) of relevant experience, and strong leadership, communication, and travel readiness to engage with

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree plus minimum of three years of experience in a research discipline related to patient-centered outcomes research.
• Or a master’s degree plus minimum of seven years of experience with leadership in research program management.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific oversight for funded research awards.
• Develop funding announcements and manage portfolio activities.
• Support the Methodology Committee and update Methodology Standards.
• Collaborate with PCORI staff across programs and manage contract milestones.
• Represent PCORI publicly regarding program direction and award results.
