Job summary

The Current, a Center for Contemporary Art, is seeking an Executive Director in Stowe, Vermont. This full-time, in-person role leads strategic direction, financial stewardship, fundraising, and community engagement, reporting to the Board of Trustees.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in nonprofit/arts/philanthropy or mission-driven contexts.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, strategy, and organizational performance.
• Strong budgeting, financial analysis, and resource allocation skills.
• Experience cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors; major gifts and campaigns are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement organizational strategy with Board and staff.
• Lead budgeting, financial performance, cash flow, and internal controls.
• Oversee fundraising strategy and donor relations, campaigns, and endowments.
• Represent The Current locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Support staff development, equity, inclusion, and organizational effectiveness.
