As we scale, we're investing in building a data-driven culture across product, content, marketing, and operations — and we’re looking for a foundational analytics leader to help drive that transformation.

About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Analytics Lead to serve as both a hands-on data expert and a business thought partner. You will build and own the analytics foundation at TSS: uncovering insights, modeling key business drivers, defining KPIs, and shaping our decision-making processes.

This is a highly cross-functional role where you'll work closely with leadership, product, marketing, and content teams to turn data into clear, actionable strategies. You’ll have the freedom, visibility, and ownership to make a real impact from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of our analytics infrastructure, including data modeling, reporting, and visualization.
  • Develop and own a suite of business-critical dashboards (e.g., subscriber growth, churn analysis, content engagement, marketing performance).
  • Perform deep-dive analyses on customer behavior, product usage, and subscription metrics to drive strategic decisions.
  • Build forecasting models to support company planning (e.g., LTV, CAC, churn modeling, user segmentation).
  • Define, refine, and evangelize core business KPIs across teams.
  • Partner with product, marketing, and content leads to design and measure experiments (e.g., A/B tests, feature launches, campaign evaluations).
  • Identify data gaps and work with engineering/data partners to improve data collection and quality.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations directly to senior leadership.
  • Help lay the foundation for company data and analytics strategy as we scale.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years experience in Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or related fields.
  • Expertise in SQL and comfort working directly with large, complex datasets.
  • Strong experience with BI tools (Looker, Omni, or similar).
  • Ability to build financial/business models from scratch (Excel or programmatically).
  • Strong understanding of subscription models and consumer behavior analytics.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Comfortable prioritizing and context-switching in a startup environment.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for fitness, wellness, and/or health is a big plus!

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., Big Query, dbt, Estuary).
  • Basic proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience with marketing attribution models, cohort analysis, and retention metrics.
  • Prior experience in consumer subscription businesses.
