Job summary

IBM is seeking a strategic, hands-on technical leader to define and drive AI capabilities and adoption of agentic automation across our software platform. You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and IT to scale AI usage, automate tasks, and orchestrate intelligent workflows that unlock new usage patterns.

You will balance 60% execution with 40% strategy, delivering core agentic workflows that boost productivity and drive measurable AI tooling adoption across teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years driving strategic productivity initiatives in SaaS/Cloud platforms or developer tools with AI experience.
• Expert in distributed systems and the supporting infrastructure.
• Able to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders without authority.
• Strong communication translating technical strategies into business impact.
• Delivery-focused with a track record of measurable value and ROI.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience with automation and LLM integration; governance savvy.

Responsibilities

• Define and evangelize AI strategy and agentic flows aligning metrics with engineering and platform opportunities.
• Build a roadmap for agentic automation features, smart assistants, and AI-driven workflows.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the product and software development lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Trust and Security to scale AI safely.
• Drive adoption of AI tooling and measurable outcomes across internal teams and external use cases.
• Define success metrics, governance, and best practices for AI behavior.
• Write internal playbooks for scaling agentic outcomes and participate in external forums when applicable.
