Job summary

IBM Software is seeking a strategic and hands-on technical leader to define and drive agentic AI capabilities, partnering across Engineering, Security, and IT to scale AI usage. You will architect AI-driven workflows that unlock productivity and automate routine tasks, while guiding governance and measurement of success.

Lead cross-functional initiatives, balance hands-on contribution with strategic direction, and articulate KPI-driven value to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years driving strategic productivity initiatives in SaaS/Cloud platforms or developer tools with AI experience.
• Expert in building distributed systems and the supporting infra/tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills translating complex tech strategies into business impact.
• Experience defining success metrics and ROI for AI/automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the AI capabilities strategy and adoption across engineering and security teams.
• Lead cross-functional programs to scale agentic automation features and AI-driven workflows.
• Deliver core agentic workflows, balancing hands-on work with delegation (60/40).
• Establish governance, ethics, guardrails, and KPIs for AI behavior and automation.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external forums to share learnings and drive adoption.
• Define success metrics, monitor adoption, and quantify ROI for AI initiatives.
