Job summary

Ag Management Solutions in Minnesota is seeking a Communications Manager to lead strategic communications for agricultural clients, turning complex industry topics into clear, engaging content across digital and print channels.

You will work with internal teams and client leaders to manage projects, support media relations, and produce client publications while upholding messaging and brand standards. Some travel and flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, journalism, orPR.
• Knowledge of modern agriculture preferred.
• Strong writing, editing, interviewing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to translate complex topics into clear content for various audiences.
• Strong project-management skills; handle multiple projects with deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency with media relations, digital communications, and measurement tools.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and willingness to learn new platforms.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and distribute internal and external communications materials (articles, newsletters, press releases, talking points, website and social media).
• Plan and coordinate client print and digital publications (magazines, newsletters).
• Serve as the communications project manager for assigned clients; set timelines and coordinate contributors and vendors.
• Collaborate with staff and client leaders to develop strategies and consistent messaging.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client visibility, brand awareness and stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor media coverage and respond to inquiries; manage media outreach.
• Track metrics to evaluate performance and inform improvements.
• Translate agriculture topics into clear, relevant information for farmers and audiences.
• Coordinate work of outside contractors, vendors and partners; manage multiple projects.
