Job summary

Venus Aerospace in Houston is seeking a Buyer to drive procurement for advanced rocket engine components, from R&D through production ramp. You will source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure materials arrive on time and meet tight tolerances while collaborating with Engineering.

You will oversee RFQs, interpret technical specs, and support ITAR/export controls. This on-site role includes a competitive benefits package and opportunities to impact revolutionary propulsion

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement, with aerospace experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes and inspection requirements.
• Ability to read drawings, CAD models, and specs.
• Experience sourcing prototyping through production components.
• Strong negotiation and supplier onboarding skills.
• Understanding of purchasing processes and workflows.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, and delivery commitments.
• Maintain real-time purchasing data and support scalable platforms.
• Ensure timely delivery of all materials.
• Manage relationships with suppliers.
• Oversee RFQ process for competitive bids.
• Collaborate with Engineering to fulfill procurement needs.
• Provide updates on PO progress and delivery dates.
• Lead negotiations to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
