Job summary

Tufts Medicine Behavioral Health Hospital in Malden, MA seeks a visionary Director of Admissions to lead the admissions team at a state-of-the-art 144-bed facility serving children to seniors. This is a key leadership role driving access to care and coordinating with Tufts Medicine and Acadia Healthcare to support a full continuum of behavioral health services.

You will oversee strategy, quality, and regulatory compliance, mentor staff, and partner with clinical and operations teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Human Services field or RN licensure required.
• Three+ years’ experience in healthcare admissions preferred.
• Three years as Director of Admissions in a behavioral health facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Admissions Department and align it with the strategic plan of the business development and marketing function.
• Direct admissions marketing and referral development to drive timely access to treatment.
• Provide leadership in addressing quality management issues related to crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services.
• Assign readings evaluations, intakes, or admissions as dictated by census and requests.
• Conduct quality assurance and quality improvement programs for crisis triage, evaluation, intake, and admission services.
• Hire, train, and supervise Admissions staff and coordinate orientation and ongoing education.
• Manage department budgets and expenditures, ensuring operations stay within allocated funds.
• Serve as a clinical liaison with referral sources and external partners.
