Job summary

University of Miami is seeking a Sr. Administrative Officer in Miami, FL, to lead the Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery department’s administrative and financial functions. You will guide strategic planning, budgeting, and grant management while ensuring compliance and efficient operations.

The role reports to the Chair and partners with HR, facilities, and research leadership to advance departmental goals and faculty success within a premier academic health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree or equivalent preferred for advanced leadership roles.
• Minimum seven years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and directs short- and long-term strategic business plans for the Department, serving as senior financial and administrative manager.
• Oversees budgeting, accounting, and resource allocation across operating, capital, grant, and gift accounts.
• Coordinates clinical operations, HR, and contract negotiations with compliance to policies and laws.
• Leads cross-site collaboration and liaison with affiliate programs and departments.
