Role Overview: Strategic Accounts Manager

The Strategic Accounts Manager is responsible for driving complex diagnostic lab sales within key accounts. This involves introducing new screening and diagnostic concepts, closing deals, and implementing solutions by collaborating with physicians, laboratory personnel, Quality Assurance teams, and management to identify needs, gain consensus, and rapidly close new assay and instrumentation business across laboratory chains in India.

This position is based in Gurgaon/Delhi-NCR, reporting to the National Sales Head, Commercial Business, India. The core focus is on increasing revenue within designated national and regional laboratories and building strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow existing national and regional lab accounts, achieving sales targets and ensuring timely collection of receivables.
  • Expand menu utilization and assay maximization to increase revenue and wallet share, including GX instrument placement.
  • Maintain funnel management, conduct daily SFDC reporting, and ensure prospects are engaged at appropriate frequencies.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Head to develop and execute sales strategies and customer-specific plans to meet targets.
  • Work closely with Field Application Specialists, Field Service Engineers, and Technical Support Specialists to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and assay demonstrations at customer sites.
Essential Job Requirements:
  • 8-10 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or an MBA.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Experience with CRMs like SFDC.
  • Willingness to travel 10-15 days per month.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and a scientific customer-focused approach.
