Job summary

SHAPE Technologies, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager for the Baxter Springs, Kansas facility. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will lead day-to-day accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial close processes while upholding GAAP and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; supervisory experience required.
• 3-5 years of accounting experience with a background in public accounting; 5-7 years in industry.
• Accounting experience in manufacturing preferred; CPA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and close processes.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end close cycles and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate audits with internal and external auditors.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team and foster professional growth.
• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and regulations; drive process improvements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
