Job summary

Kelli’s, a leading distributor to hospital gift shops and specialty retailers, is seeking an Accounting Manager who will lead day-to-day accounting operations and the month-end close. This role partners with leaders across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting, drive process improvements, and support informed business decisions in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA required.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day Accounts Payable operations and workload.
• Record daily cash and credit card transactions; maintain GL postings.
• Review cash receipts and AR activity to ensure timely collections.
• Review weekly check/ACH runs and vendor remittances.
• Lead monthly close and prepare journal entries.
• Analyze accounting activity for Wholesale Division and identify improvements.
• Resolve accounting issues through analysis and problem‑solving.
• Lead monthly close for Wholesale Division and post entries.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts; process monthly sales tax.
• Maintain accounting system updates and complete ad hoc reports.
• Oversee annual 1099 reporting and year‑end closing.
• Coordinate tax‑related entries and vendor rebate programs.
