Job summary

ITW in Chicago seeks an Accounting Manager to oversee the overall accounting function and financial reporting for the Business Unit. You will ensure accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity of the month-end close and partner with the Controller to shape strategic direction.

You will drive efficiencies, implement streamlined processes, and analyze key metrics to support management decisions while leading a team of accounting professionals and ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP and financial reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with Controller to direct accounting activities and drive process improvements.
• Produce accurate management reporting and communicate results to leadership.
• Identify business drivers and provide training to enhance financial awareness.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, providing guidance and feedback.
