Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Accountant to provide professional accounting advice to activity managers on financial policy and procedures in a DHA-backed solicitation.

The role focuses on applying professional accounting principles, analyzing financial data, and leveraging knowledge of Army budgeting to support programs and resource needs. Strong communication and cross-sector collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Security clearance and background investigation required.
• Level 2 Financial Management certification per NDAA 2012.
• Compliance with DoD and Army certification program mandatory.
• Certification must be obtained within specified time; failure may lead to action.

Responsibilities

• Independently applies professional accounting principles and theories to operational programs.
• Analyzes financial data, draws sound conclusions, and advises management on complex financial matters.
• Utilizes working knowledge of Army budgeting and quantitative analysis.
• Develops cost estimates and fiscal analyses to support activity programs and resource requirements.
• Possesses expertise in automated accounting systems design, practices, and limitations.
• Collaborates with programmers and software specialists to design, modify, adapt, or build automated subsystems to solve resource management issues.
• Establishes and maintains effective, cooperative relationships across management levels in Federal and private sectors.
• Possesses strong oral and written communication skills to deliver briefings and reports on complex topics.
• Resolves highly complex or controversial issues and provides high-level advisory assistance.
• Understands organization missions, functions, and regulations, including their relationship to other Federal activities and private industry.
