Strategic Account Manager – Appvion
Location: Flexible | Travel: Yes (some international travel 2–3 times per year)

Your Impact
As a Strategic Account Manager at Appvion, you’ll be a key driver of our commercial growth strategy. Your mission will be to elevate our presence within high-value accounts, nurture the next tier of customer opportunities, and serve as a visible and trusted ambassador of the Appvion brand across the industry. You’ll have a direct hand in shaping our market share, strengthening client relationships, and delivering sustainable, profitable results.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage a portfolio of strategic and territory accounts critical to Appvion’s business success.
  • Develop and implement account-specific sales plans to drive growth in volume, sales mix, and profitability.
  • Deepen engagement with key accounts and downstream stakeholders to expand influence and product adoption.
  • Identify customer challenges and deliver tailored solutions that align with their goals and Appvion’s capabilities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to execute initiatives that support account growth.
  • Build and maintain strategic account plans, ensuring alignment across sales, technical, and leadership teams.
  • Deliver compelling value propositions and articulate Appvion’s competitive advantage.
  • Develop and negotiate pricing strategies that support mutual success.
  • Engage executive-level stakeholders and strengthen cross-organizational relationships.
  • Champion the Appvion brand at industry events and throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Conduct frequent customer and prospect visits to build loyalty and drive preference.
  • Respond promptly to evolving customer needs and maintain budget accountability.

What It Takes:

  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing and growing high-value strategic accounts.
  • Strong consultative sales skills and a proven ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional international travel.
