Come join our team! Corteva Agriscience has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Accounts Leader covering Missouri and eastern Kansas.

TheStrategic Accounts Leader (SAL)role will be responsible for leading and managing the strategic accounts team and driving customer level strategic planning and execution, enabling a strong seed and crop protection customer experience across Missouri and eastern Kansas.

Role Responsibilities: What do we expect from you?

Management of Strategic Accounts Team

  • Provides leadership, vision, direction and focus for direct report’s sales activities while fostering learning and motivation of employees
  • Manages employee performance by clearly communicating expectations and coaching individuals on gaps in skills and abilities required for success
  • Continuously evaluates team members’ performance and holds individuals accountable for meeting established performance expectations
  • Develops pipeline and recruits top talent for area strategic accounts team

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develops and leads area level grower strategy for both the Pioneer and Crop Protection businesses
  • Collaborates with area leadership team to build, prioritize, and enable cross-selling tactics and initiatives
  • Leads and enhances the account planning process across the area and with direct reports
  • Coordinates grower level call plans, events, and activities across the area and with direct reports
  • Actively engages in annual area level strategic planning, representing grower level trends and needs

Organizational Performance

  • Meets and exceeds key annual performance metrics (volume targets, discount targets, penetration targets, etc.)
  • Manages within allocated resources while seeking and driving growth for Pioneer and Crop Protection
  • Serves as the lead contact for the Pioneer and Crop Protection teams on grower level needs and opportunities
  • Fosters and maintains business relationships with key, focus area strategic accounts representing Corteva
  • Represents grower level needs, trends, challenges, and opportunities internally with commercial marketing teams
  • Actively gathers market conditions, trends, and competitive activity and communicates with team members

Role Qualifications – External Requirements: What skills will you need?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of Ag marketing or sales experience to include the management and development of employees and teams
  • Knowledge or training in a specialized, technical, or professional discipline such as Agronomy, Plant Science, Marketing, Agri-business, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Selling methodology, tools, and techniques. Pioneer products and services, awareness of crop protection products & services.
  • Understands the needs and values of partners and customers and to develop solutions to satisfy/retain
  • Must be able to sell, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict and coach
  • Willing to travel and work in rural environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to pass a driving record background check
  • Visa sponsorship and international relocation are NOT available for this position
