The position involves developing and maintaining business relationships with assigned customers, serving in a consultative role to ensure satisfaction, retention, contract renewal, and revenue growth. You will also provide input on benefit plan design and health strategy through established relationships with customers and brokers.

If located in Louisiana, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while tackling challenging projects.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Customer retention aligned with annual goals
  • Strategic planning for multi-year initiatives to manage healthcare trends
  • Managing escalated issues and problem resolution
  • Maintaining documentation such as action plans, meeting notes, and business plans
  • Coordinating plan design reviews and strategies with other departments, providing financial analysis, and recommending modifications to benefit plans
  • Serving as an information resource regarding sales activity, industry news, and operations
  • Providing education and consultation to customers and brokers, including contract negotiations
  • Recommending new products/services to increase lines of business
  • Managing renewal strategies and goals across departments
  • Identifying customer and broker requirements through relationship building
  • Coordinating internal efforts to ensure quality service delivery
  • Participating in special projects and new customer implementations
  • Supporting sales and marketing efforts, including presentations
  • Training and mentoring team members
  • Participating in health fairs and providing timely updates to stakeholders
  • Performing other duties as needed

Required Qualifications
  • State health insurance license upon hire; life license within 3 months
  • Experience in account management with a focus on customer retention
  • Valid driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years in insurance sales or service
  • Expertise in account service, consultative selling, and product knowledge
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels, including C-Suite
