The Strategic Enterprise Account Executive is a grade 8.

Responsibilities
  • Support GitLab for our strategic and large prospects within our Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses and communicate lessons learned to relevant teams.
  • Manage your book of business: document buying criteria, process, next steps, and ensure pipeline accuracy.
  • Contribute to improving our sales handbook.
  • Lead in pre- and post-sales processes, including prospecting and developing opportunities in large/strategic accounts.
  • Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products through strong account management and coordination.
  • Be the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our issue tracker.
  • Travel as necessary to develop relationships and close large opportunities.
  • Generate qualified leads and develop new customers with our strategic channel partners.
  • Maintain industry knowledge and competitive awareness.
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports, update sales database.
  • Assist in conveying customer needs to product and support teams.
  • Use a consultative approach to discuss business issues, develop quotes, proposals, and presentations.
  • Respond to RFPs, develop account plans, build relationships, and recommend marketing strategies.
Requirements
  • Strong desire to benefit customers from their investments.
  • Proven success in major account management and B2B software sales.
  • Experience selling into large organizations and leveraging relationships.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to travel if needed and comply with our travel policy.
  • Work in accordance with our values.
