What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to achieve revenue targets while collaborating with internal teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, becoming a trusted advisor and extension of their leadership teams
- Identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities within assigned accounts to meet emerging client needs
- Conduct market research to identify client needs and potential new opportunities within the assigned territory
- Track account performance and facilitate internal collaboration to drive business development initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the education sector, with at least five (5) years in a business development role
- Proven experience working within the education sector (K-12 & higher education) and a network of relationships with education/government leaders
- Demonstrated success in sales, achieving key objectives, and generating new business revenues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to public officers and their managing boards
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a consultative or sales role supporting K-12, higher education, and/or public sector clients
- Proven ability to develop strong relationships within cross-functional teams
- Comfortable presenting at webinars, events, and training sessions
- Enthusiasm for building and scaling a new strategic account management operation
- Experience in selling solutions in a multi-product and multi-service environment
