Job summary

PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy, based in Pittsburgh, seeks an Associate Account Manager to bridge day-to-day operational work with account management responsibilities. You will support manufacturer relationships, coordinate communications, monitor program performance, and handle inquiries while ensuring high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare operations, patient access, reimbursement support, pharmaceutical manufacturer services, client services, or a related healthcare environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally with internal stakeholders and external manufacturer partners.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track open items, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supports assigned manufacturer programs by coordinating day-to-day operational activities, issue resolution, and partner communications in collaboration with Account Managers and Account Directors.
• Serves as a primary operational contact for assigned programs and an escalation support resource for manufacturer inquiries, service concerns, and access-related issues.
• Builds and maintains strong working relationships with internal teams and external manufacturer partners to support service excellence, responsiveness, and client satisfaction.
• Monitors program activity, operational trends, service-level expectations, and key performance indicators to identify risks, opportunities, and recommended follow-up actions.
• Coordinates with pharmacy operations, reimbursement, clinical, and other cross-functional teams to resolve complex program issues and ensure alignment on manufacturer deliverables.
• Assists in preparing program updates, meeting agendas, follow-up summaries, and actionable insights for internal leadership and manufacturer stakeholders.
• Demonstrates increasing ownership, independent judgment, and accountability for assigned program activities while developing toward full account management responsibilities.
• Provide guidance, training, or support to Manufacturer Liaisons on program processes, issue resolution, and manufacturer communication expectations.
• Serves as a backup resource for Manufacturer Liaison responsibilities when applicable for assigned programs.
• Completes special projects and additional duties as assigned.
