Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Academic Operations professional to partner with clinical leaders, talent acquisition, and academic institutions. You will plan, implement, and execute strategic priorities across practice sites to grow training footprints and strategic partnerships.

The role involves managing contracts, grants, and P&L with external stakeholders, while leading a team and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Travel for conferences and site visits is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (3–5 years’ experience)
• Master’s degree preferred
• Experience in academic healthcare is highly desired
• 2–4 years of financial or P&L management experience
• 2+ years of people management and project management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication across diverse stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder relationship skills
• Experience with MS Office; knowledge of Workday/QuickBase is a plus
• Knowledge of recruitment CRM systems is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clinical leaders, talent acquisition, and academic institutions to plan, implement, and execute strategic academic priorities across sites.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve goals of the Academic Operations Division.
• Grow training footprint and strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
• Plan and coordinate conferences targeted toward trainees and program directors.
• Provide leadership to the team to support and engage the academic workforce priorities.
• Manage P&L, financial forecasting, and analysis for affiliated schools and programs.
• Identify revenue opportunities and optimize expenses to maintain profitability.
• Analyze training data to identify trends and process improvements.
• Provide actionable insights to improve program outcomes and workforce retention.
• Utilize tracking systems to monitor hiring metrics and relationships.
• Update senior leadership on contract statuses, affiliations, and trainee data.
• Execute and oversee affiliation agreements between clinical sites and institutions.
• Ensure contractual obligations align with goals and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain day-to-day relationships with external stakeholders and internal teams.
• Collaborate across functions to align training goals with trainee conversion strategies.
• Act as a problem solver to address challenges in executing priorities.
• Identify opportunities to enhance business operations and growth.
• Some travel is required for conferences, meetings, and site visits.
