Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a Senior Analyst of Retirement Planning to design, administer, and optimize the company’s qualified and non-qualified retirement programs, with primary focus on the 401(k) Plan and profit-sharing arrangements. This role requires deep 401(k) administration experience and strong analytical capabilities.

You will collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, and vendors, ensure ERISA compliance, prepare Form 5500, and develop insightful reports for management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience administering large and/or complex 401(k) plans.
• Strong working knowledge of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, IRS and DOL requirements.
• Demonstrated experience with 401(k) plan operations, compliance testing, payroll and contribution reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with ability to investigate complex issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for employees, leaders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support defined contribution retirement programs including the 401(k) Plan and profit-sharing plans.
• Ensure plans comply with ERISA, IRC, IRS, DOL and related regulations.
• Coordinate with Payroll and HRIS for accurate retirement data integration.
• Assist with reconciliations of payroll deductions, contributions, and plan funding.
• Review reports and ensure enrollments, deferrals, eligibility, and transactions are accurate.
• Support Workday implementation and optimization for retirement planning.
• Calculate or validate entry dates for 401(k) and profit-sharing plans.
• Coordinate administration of non-qualified deferred compensation and vendor interactions.
• Prepare Form 5500 filings, schedules, disclosures and notices.
