Job Description:

The role is within the Equity Derivatives Structuring Team, part of Goldman Sachs' FICC & Equities division. The team collaborates closely with clients across the US, Canada, and Latin America to design and deliver a broad range of solutions tailored to their investment needs. Our product suite covers all derivative products, including flow and exotic derivatives.

Role Overview:

  1. Perform analytical work such as backtesting, scenario analysis, and pricing for various exotic derivatives products. Knowledge of derivative pricing and models is advantageous.
  2. Utilize strong quantitative skills, including Black-Scholes theory, probability, data modeling, and statistics.
  3. Develop analytical tools and automate routine tasks; programming skills are beneficial.
  4. Present solutions to internal and external clients, requiring the ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly and simply.
  5. Focus on exotic products such as Structured Notes, light exotics, variance, correlation, and hybrids.
  6. Generate tactical market ideas based on market events and movements; an interest in markets is helpful.

Skills and Experiences:

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field (Math, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Physics).
  • Experience on the buy-side (e.g., volatility hedge funds).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for the role.

Salary Range:

The expected base salary for this New York-based position is $110,000 - $125,000. Discretionary bonuses may also be awarded to active employees at fiscal year-end.
