About The Brighthouse

The Brighthouse is redefining boutique hospitality. We operate a curated collection of short-term

rentals—from off-grid cabins to architectural gems—delivering a guest experience that is soulful,

elevated, and systematized.

Our properties are high-standard. Our culture is high-trust. And our standards are high-stakes.

This is not a clipboard job. We’re hiring a grounded, detail-obsessed operator to take the reins

on property-level excellence across The Brighthouse portfolio. You’ll walk local properties,

coordinate with vendors, respond to on-the-ground needs, and build operational systems that

scale across our multiple geographies.

This is an opportunity to bring rigor and rhythm to a brand that blends heart with excellence.

We’re growing quickly, with the goal of doubling our revenue in 2025 while scaling with integrity.

This is the company’s first full-time U.S. operations hire, reporting directly to our Founder &

CEO.

About the Role

This is a player-coach role—you’ll be in the field and in the systems. You’ll oversee cleanings,

maintenance, and vendors, while building workflows and ensuring accountability across a

remote support team.

You’ll walk properties, fix problems, and proactively remove friction before it lands in the guest

inbox. You’ll systematize excellence and elevate performance through structure, clarity, and

clean execution.

We don’t need a firefighter—we need a fire preventer. You’ll take your on-the-ground learnings

to work closely with the CEO to streamline operations, manage teams, and build scalable

systems that drive our business forward. The right person will view and make this role what it

has the potential to be: a pivotal leadership role within The Brighthouse.

If you are hungry to be part of something meaningful, if you're organized to the bone, and if you're

emotionally mature enough to lead without spiraling when the plan changes, this may be your

next home.

Requirements

Key ResponsibilitiesLead & Execute Property Operations

● Oversee housekeeping, maintenance, vendor coordination, and field logistics to ensure

our properties meet premium hospitality standards

● Personally oversee small repairs, field issues, and walkthroughs to ensure properties

exceed hospitality standards

● Maintain accurate property records, documentation, SOPs, and preventative

maintenance schedules

● Handle urgent operational fires with calm, quick thinking

● Foster a culture of ownership, proactivity, and high performance within the team

Build Systems + Improve Execution

● Create, refine, and enforce SOPs for turnovers, maintenance, and vendor comms

Communicate + Collaborate

● Work closely with the CEO to prioritize issues, solve bottlenecks, and push critical

projects forward

● Be the main liaison between Brighthouse and our vendors, cleaners, and support team

● Maintain professional, proactive communication with owners (when needed)

You Might Be a Fit If You Are…

● Organized & Obsessed with Clarity — You love clean systems, neat documentation,

and knowing exactly where things stand

● Emotionally Intelligent — You don’t spiral, overreact, or ghost when things get hard.

You step up and solve it.

● Communicator — You keep leadership, vendors, and guests informed with

professionalism and clarity

● Tech-Capable — Comfortable using tools like Monday.com, OpenPhone, Google Drive,

● Natural Problem-Solver — You’re not afraid to say, This isn’t working—let’s fix it,” and

you don’t wait to be told what to do.

● Field-ready: Comfortable checking a water heater, swapping a propane tank, or

evaluating the quality of a turnover cleaning

● A grounded executor who takes pride in keeping things moving and cleanly run

● Mature and coachable: You take feedback seriously but not personally. You own your

outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

● 2+ years in operations, hospitality, STR, property management, or facilities management

(STR & vacation rental experience )

● Experience leading small teams, managing vendors, and implementing systems

● Clear written and verbal communication (you’ll be interfacing with contractors, owners,

and CEO)

● Based in Charlotte, NC (or willing to relocate immediately)
