HOUSEKEEPER SUPERVISOR:
- Supervise the daily cleaning of all lodge rooms, guest houses and club public areas.
- Prepare weekly schedule for all housekeeping staff, as well as manage PTO requests and coverage.
- Personally inspect all lodge rooms, guest houses and public areas following completion of cleaning.
- Able and willing to clean rooms, houses, and public areas, as needed. Organize and inspect all housekeeping storerooms.
- Train all employees on proper cleaning standards and procedures. Identify and report all maintenance concerns.
- Ability to read and speak the English language.
- Skills sufficient to direct staff members, handle guest complaints, and communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and identify problems.
- Ability to identify and report routine and preventative maintenance requirements. Ability to motivate, train and supervise staff.
- Ability to work flexible work schedule, and must therefore follow the cleaning standards and rules of each property.
HOUSEKEEPER:
- Housekeepers perform tasks related to maintaining the cleanliness of homes, hospitals, hotels, schools and offices.
- This may involve replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment and making beds.
- The role almost always includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and other general cleaning tasks, and must therefore follow the cleaning standards and rules of each property.
HOUSEPERSON:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of homes, hospitals, hotels, schools and offices.
- Replenishing supplies, sanitizing equipment or removing all dirty linens and trash.
- The role almost always includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting and other general cleaning tasks, and must therefore follow the cleaning standards and rules of each property.
PUBLIC AREA:
- Clean and maintain public areas such as lobbies, hallways, and lounges. Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
- Clean elevator, windows and mirrors.
- Empty trash cans and dispose of trash.
- Replenish supplies such as soaps, towels, and toilet paper.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms. Report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and must therefore follow the cleaning standards and rules of each property.
LAUNDRY:
- Laundry Attendant’s duties include washing, drying and folding clothes and linens.
- Laundry Attendants employed in the hospitality industry, for example, often are responsible for washing towels and sheets and replacing them on closets for housekeeping use.
- On some hotels, laundries also wash personal items of guests. Follow the cleaning standards and rules of each property.
