We are currently seeking a Storytelling Designer to join our US-based Strategic Growth team, which focuses on pre-sales, client engagement, and business development activities.

We are a diverse team of practitioners with backgrounds in media, politics, publishing, content strategy, design, government, and more. If you love to rally clients around a great story rooted in strategy we would be excited to meet you.

Responsibilities

• Translating strategic narratives, proposals, marketing, and other material into polished, persuasive artifacts for both clients and internal audiences (most often in slides)
• Collaborating with other designers to support and maintain adherence to Launch and NTT DATA brand and visual standards
• Creating and maintaining a library of storytelling tools (templates, frameworks, visuals, and more) in Microsoft PowerPoint
• Helping non-designers improve their understanding of layout and typography so that they can produce better artifacts on their own

Qualifications

• Basic qualifications: Exceptional attention to detail: pixel perfect is your starting point
• 3-6 years of experience as a visual/graphic designer, with a focus on storytelling systems: typography, layout, deck/proposal design, and similar activities
• Expert level skills in PowerPoint and Figma
• Proven track record of successfully working with deadlines and ambiguity, as well as sharing in-progress work at all levels of fidelity
• Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and build trust with colleagues and decision-makers and gain alignment across internal teams
• Strong opinions, weakly held

Preferred skills

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Experience with motion graphics is a plus.
• Experience building and shipping user-facing apps, websites, and other platforms
• Ability to rapidly build expertise in new businesses and industries
• A talent for building consensus among opinionated teammates within a large and complex organization
