Job summary

Dale House Project is seeking a Storytelling and Content Creator to capture and share the stories of young people navigating homelessness and family disruption in Colorado Springs.

This contracted role involves generating written, photo, and video content that reflects the mission and voice of the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills and an ability to build trust with youth, ensuring dignified storytelling.

Compensation is $40 per hour for an estimated 5-10 hours per week over a 6-month period.

Qualifications

• Strong writing ability with a clear, engaging, and human-centered voice.
• Ability to draw out meaningful stories through conversation and listening.
• Comfort building trust with young people who have experienced trauma or instability.
• Basic photography and video capture/editing skills.
• Experience in storytelling or nonprofit communications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture lived experiences of youth through storytelling.
• Develop written narratives, photo content, and short-form videos.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure alignment with messaging.
• Organize and maintain a library of content assets.
