Job summary

Tulane University is seeking an Assistant Director of Editorial to develop, write and shape high-impact stories for Tulane Today, The Tulanian and related platforms.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Editorial, you will collaborate with News & Media Relations, campus communicators and social teams to ensure consistent storytelling across university channels, while providing strategic editorial support and serving as backup for Tulane Today production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English or related field.
• 5–7 years of professional writing and editing experience.
• Experience in a fast-paced news or media environment.
• Experience with digital project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write and shape high-impact stories for Tulane Today, The Tulanian and platforms.
• Collaborate with News & Media Relations, social media and campus communicators.
• Provide strategic editorial support and backup for Tulane Today production.
