Job summary

Baxter & Woodman invites a Water Resources/Stormwater Engineer to join our St. Augustine, FL office. You will lead municipal drainage projects, perform hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, and coordinate with local agencies to advance stormwater programs. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Requirements include a BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Florida PE or transfer, and 5+ years of related experience. Travel within our service area is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Florida PE license or transfer from another state
• 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Modeling experience with ICPR4 and SWMM
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for land development and stormwater design
• Ability to travel within Baxter & Woodman service area
• Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Design municipal drainage systems, hydraulic studies, pumping stations, pavements and local roadways
• Land development design of private commercial sites, residential subdivisions, recreation sites, and institutional sites
• Hydraulic and hydrologic modeling designs for drainage basins, water quality improvements, and stormwater collection systems
• Perform analyses using Geographic Information System (GIS) tools
• Preparing stormwater master plan reports and preliminary engineering reports
• Meetings and coordination with municipal, county and state clients
• Obtaining permits related to stormwater management
• Assist with construction engineering services for municipal, county and state clients
• Assist other project engineers as needed during project delivery
