Job summary

City of Maitland is seeking a seasoned Stormwater Division Supervisor to oversee planning, operation, and maintenance of the city’s stormwater collection systems. This role ensures regulatory compliance and effective use of resources while leading a team of staff and coordinating with county/state agencies.

The incumbent will manage budgets, oversee bids, and drive safety and quality across projects, reporting to Public Works leadership. Emergency/disaster readiness is required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressive stormwater experience with at least three in supervision.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• NIMS IS-700 within 30 days and IC… within 90 days; additional NIMS may be scheduled.
• Cyber Security Awareness Training for Florida employees within 30 days and yearly thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and implement maintenance, operation and construction activities for stormwater service.
• Oversee construction and maintenance to ensure standards conformance.
• Prepare division's annual operating budget and monitor expenditures.
• Prepare requests for proposals and bid documents for stormwater projects.
• Inspect and supervise stormwater system operations and repairs.
• Coordinate stormwater system locations and drainage right-of-way/easements.
• Respond to stormwater flow, flooding and water quality complaints; coordinate with property owners.
• Train, supervise and discipline Stormwater Division staff; enforce safety.
