Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is seeking a Stormwater Maintenance Technician to join Torrent Resources' team. Under supervision of the Field Operations Supervisor, the Laborer performs tasks to clean stormwater structures and systems including drywells, envibro systems, treatment systems, and stormwater inlets, while supporting repairs as needed.

Daily duties include safe task execution, debris removal, teamwork, adherence to confined space and safety protocols, vehicle inspections,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to drive company pickup truck and trailer.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, outdoors in varying weather, and standing or walking for extended periods.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and consistent adherence to them.
• Punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all daily tasks are completed safely.
• Remove trash, leaves, sediment, and debris from stormwater systems.
• Collaborate with team members to accomplish daily tasks.
• Follow Confined Space Entry protocols.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Assist in daily work documentation.
• Perform system repairs as necessary.
• Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a company vehicle
• Ability to drive company pickup truck and trailer
• The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended period of times
• Ability to work in confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to consistently adhere to them to ensure a safe working environment
• Proven track record of punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performance
• Ascending or descending ladders up to 30' deep
• Balancing, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds (manhole covers, drywell covers and grates, catch basin grates), pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and walking carrying support equipment
• Standing next to and entering drywells, catch basins and stormwater manholes that can be 5' deep or deeper
• Working near vehicle and heavy equipment traffic
