Job summary

Tessera is seeking a hardworking Stormwater Technician to join our team near Fort Stewart, GA. The role focuses on inspecting industrial activities, collecting stormwater samples, and supporting the Stormwater Program Lead with data entry and reporting.

The position requires 0-3 years of related experience, GSWC Level 1B Inspector and Level II Plan Reviewer certifications (or ability to obtain), and willingness to work on-site with field duties and occasional training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of stormwater management, water resource or relevant environmental service experience required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain GSWCC Level 1B Inspector certification.
• Must possess or be able to obtain HAZWOPER certification. ArcGIS Pro experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal, routine stormwater inspections for industrial activities and MS4 infrastructure.
• Collect stormwater samples during wet and dry weather events with proper chain-of-custody.
• Assist in investigating pollutants and illicit discharges by field screening and data collection.
• Maintain detailed field documentation including checklists, logs, and photos.
• Enter field data into the program database and update GIS layers.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of sampling equipment.
