Job summary

City of Greeley is seeking a Stormwater Equipment Operator II to perform skilled work in maintenance, repair, inspection, and construction of stormwater infrastructure. You will operate light and heavy equipment, lead projects, and support flood response and emergency operations in a dynamic field setting.

The role requires a valid CDL (Class A/B) with endorsements, and certifications in flagging and traffic control, plus several years of stormwater-related experience.

Qualifications

• CDL required with air brake and tanker endorsements or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Flagger certification and Work Zone Traffic Control certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Three years of experience operating heavy equipment ( loaders, excavators, backhoes, etc. ).
• Three years of experience in stormwater, drainage, utility, or related infrastructure maintenance.
• Colorado Collections Class 1 and Class 2 certifications or ability to obtain within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Lead team on stormwater maintenance projects and coordinate field activities.
• Inspect, maintain, repair, and rehabilitate stormwater infrastructure.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely under various conditions.
• Assist with flood response, emergency operations, and snow/ice operations as needed.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and documentation using City software.
