Job summary

Shrewsberry & Associates, LLC in Denver seeks a Stormwater Engineer-in-Training to work on drainage and stormwater projects across Colorado and possibly other states.

You should have an Engineer-in-Training certification and a BS in Civil or Water Resources Engineering, with strong communication skills and experience in key stormwater software tools.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Water Resources Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Open Roads Designer SUDA, Civ3D SSA, CivilStorm, SRH2D, HEC-RAS/HEC-RAS2D, HY-8.
• MS in Civil Engineering or Water Resources (preferred).
• CDOT experience (preferred).
• Experience with local municipalities (preferred).
• GIS familiarity (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drainage design including storm sewers, culverts, water quality facilities, open channels, and bridge hydraulics.
• Guide projects through regulatory permitting processes.
• Ensure proper standards and methodologies on projects.
• Assist in preparing design plans.
• Assist in writing drainage and water quality reports.
• Coordinate efforts as part of a design team to produce complete and accurate design work.
• Work in a flexible, team-oriented environment and contribute to the growth of the Stormwater group.
• Responsible for drainage tasks on stormwater and related design projects.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater design standards.
• Assist in design of erosion control and/or stormwater management plans.

Description

Shrewsberry and Associates is seeking a Stormwater Engineer-in-Training based out of our Denver office. The selected engineer will be technically proficient and have excellent communication skills. Duties will include engineering work on stormwater projects and transportation drainage related projects from initial startup through final design. The projects will be primarily located in Colorado but may also include work in other states.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drainage design including the design of storm sewers, culverts, water quality facilities, open channels, and bridge hydraulics.

This is a full-time position with a base salary that ranges between $75,000 - $90,000 per year. In addition to salary, you are eligible for equity and a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, and PTO.
