Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a Stormwater Construction Foreman to lead stormwater infrastructure projects across the central states. You’ll operate heavy equipment and oversee concrete structures, basins, and related utilities, ensuring safety and quality on site.

This full-time role offers weekly pay, travel per diem, company vehicle support, and comprehensive benefits. Expect 40–55 hours weekly with extensive regional travel and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of underground wet utility construction experience.
• Experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (skid loader, mini-excavator, etc.).
• Willing to travel regionally up to 85% with a company vehicle and per diem provided.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screening; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Position: Stormwater Construction Foreman (Heavy equipment/concrete)

Location: St Louis, MO

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Full-Time, 40-55 hours per week

Regional Travel: Required, typically 85% or more through company vehicle. We provide $68 per diem on out-of-town travel days.

What you'll do:

• Construct and Repair Critical Stormwater Infrastructure: Work on essential underground utilities, concrete structures, and stormwater basins across the central states, ensuring communities are safe and resilient.
• Operate Advanced Construction Equipment: Utilize a range of tools, from hand-held and power tools to heavy machinery like skid loaders, excavators, and dozers, showcasing your technical expertise.
• Travel and Explore: Embrace the opportunity to travel during the week, exploring new locations while making a significant impact on various projects.
• Contribute to Project Success: Document field observations to aid in project success and drive continuous improvement, ensuring our projects are always top-notch.

What we're looking for:

• 5-7 years of underground wet utility construction experience is required.
• Prior experience with repair and construction of stormwater infrastructure, concrete structures, rebar and concrete finishing, underground piping, and detention/retention basins is required.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment (Skid Loader, Mini-Excavator, etc.)
• Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and staff.
• Ability to do frequent out-of-town regional travel (85% or more travel required)
• Candidates must pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening. We are a drug-free workplace.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and a reliable method of transportation.
• Able to perform manual labor, lift and carry 60 pounds, work in confined spaces, and under inclement weather conditions.
