Job summary

The City of Edmonds Storm Water Division is seeking a Storm Maintenance Lead Worker to supervise crew activities, assign daily work, monitor quality, and train staff for safe operation and timely completion of projects.

This full-time role requires a High School Diploma or GED with storm water coursework and five years in public works maintenance, including three years in lead or supervisory roles; starting pay ranges from $8,380 to $9,239 per month, with a full wage scale up to $10,186.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with coursework in storm water construction and maintenance plus five years of related public works experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and assigns daily work activities; coordinates schedules and tasks and verifies that tasks are achieved.
  • Meets regularly with staff to discuss priorities, workload and technical issues and makes recommendations.
  • Inspects work to ensure quality and uses resources efficiently; participates in performance evaluations.
  • Maintains storm water infrastructure including installation, basins, pipelines, and detention systems.
  • Manages street sweeping program, disposal options, and material orders for storm drain work.
