Job summary

Volkert Inc. is hiring Debris Monitors for a temporary assignment across Northeast Florida and Southern Alabama to support post-storm cleanup. No experience is required; training will be provided.

Schedule can run up to 7 days per week, with shifts up to 12 hours per day. Pay rate ranges from $15 to $20 per hour, with bi-weekly paychecks. Responsibilities include reporting to staging areas, handling materials, monitoring loading activities, and documenting debris and safety concerns.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (not suspended) and clear MVR.
• Cell phone to be contacted during assignment.
• Reliable transportation to various locations.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math skills (weight, volume, distance).
• Ability to read/write English fluently.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• MVR must be satisfactory.

Responsibilities

• Report to assigned staging area.
• Receive materials, supplies, equipment, and information.
• Attend safety and operations meeting.
• Monitor and observe loading activities.
• Ensure Contractors pick up all eligible storm-related debris.
• Note hazards in surroundings.
• Fill out Load Tickets completely and accurately.
• Record any damages caused by a Contractor.
