Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a full-time Supply Chain Assistant for our South Lake Union site. You will process inbound and outbound shipments and support various Supply Chain tasks as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days, forklift/pallet jack certifications within 120 days, and ability to lift heavy loads with safe technique. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; must be able to obtain Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days.
• Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days and Forklift/Pallet Jack certification within 120 days.
• Knowledge of computerized or automated systems and record-keeping practices.
• Effective communication; ability to lift heavy packages (>50 lbs) and push/pull 400 lbs.
• Basic math and knowledge of safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming and outgoing items according to department guidelines.
• Cover various Supply Chain roles daily as business and staffing dictates, including manual, storeroom, and shipping/receiving duties.
• Assist and train new employees in areas of operations.

Performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to shipping, receiving, storing, issuing and delivering widely diversified or specialized supplies in accordance with current policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, onsite at our South Lake Union location.

Responsibilities

• Processing incoming and outgoing items as necessary and within the guidelines of the department and the Clinic.
• On a daily basis covers various positions within Supply Chain team as business and staffing dictates - this includes, but is not limited to, manual and clerical duties, storeroom functions and shipping/receiving duties.
• Assists and trains new employees in areas of operations.

Required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
• Pharmacy Assistant License (must be able to attain a Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days of hire).
• Forklift and Pallet Jack Certification (must attain Forklift and Pallet Jack certification within 120 days of hire).
• Knowledge of computerized or automated systems operations.
• Knowledge of record keeping practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure.
• Knowledge of safety practice.
• Ability to lift heavy packages and objects > 50 lbs. using proper technique.
• Must be able to push/pull cart with 400 lbs. load.

Preferred

• General knowledge of distribution and supply chain activities.
• Knowledge of and experience with operating manual and automatic devices such as hand trucks and forklifts
• One (1) year supply chain experience or other relevant experience preferred.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $21.30 to $30.13 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, onsite at our South Lake Union location.
