Job description

Our client in Western New York is actively seeking a skilled Stores Person / Warehouse Associate to join their growing team!

This is an onsite / full-time / 3-4 month contract position

Hourly based on experience : Up to $18 / hr

The Stores Person / Warehouse Associate provides the physical movement of products and components throughout the facility. This position will handle the order picking process for distribution, the movement of material through shipping and receiving, and the component picking for assembly.

Tasks :

  • Responsible for following safety policies and maintaining a safe behavior and attitude throughout

the department

  • Put away and handling of received material
  • Maintain product identification and location control
  • Packaging of parts and kits in preparation for shipment
  • Picking orders for inter-company and external customers
  • Responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and data integrity
  • Perform physical counts that are provided by the Inventory Controllers
  • Maintains punctual, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
  • Respectfully takes direction from the lead, supervisor, or manager
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education / Experience :

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse / distribution center setting is preferred

Knowledge areas / Skills :

  • Ability to handle basic material handling equipment
  • Have a working knowledge or understanding of ERP and inventory management systems, along with basic computer skills
